- Being the Go To Place for Leaders Promoting Sound Health Policy. Medical science and our very health are under severe assault. The American vaccine system is being attacked, weakened allowing once vanquished plagues to reappear. Funds for medical research are slashed. - Health Care Town Halls DOHCS is taking the message of the denial of health care and the assault on science directly to the citizens of Ohio’s 7th District, currently represented by the MAGA supporter, Max Miller. Led with Councilwoman Sue Durichko these Health Care Town Halls allow citizens to ask all their questions, register their anger at having their health care threatened by Miller’s policies, and advocate for new representation .

Rep. Shontel Brown is our Congresswoman and has done an oustanding job. If the House comes back to the Democrats, she is in line to become the powerful Chair of the Agriculture Committee, which in charge of America’s key nutrition programs. That includes SNAP which helps feed 1 in 8 Americans. DOHCS stands with Rep. Shontel Brown in her re-election.
Rep. Emilia Sykes is many of our member’s Congresswoman too. Her District was the closest race in the 2024 election for President, and yet she won it. The closeness of the race has caught the attention of the MAGA movement, they see her seat as one of their key paths to holding onto the House. DOHCS has already held a campaign event for her which was one of the most successful across Ohio. We stand with Rep. Emilia Sykes, her crucial race is urgently important.
Rep. Marcy Kaptur is our neighbor and like Rep. Sykes, her seat is a key target of MAGA. Rep. Kaptur is a keystone to the Ohio Congressional delegation.
