DOHCS has crafted a powerful strategy for turning your concerns and voice into action!
- Boosting the vote in Cuyahoga by over 100,000. Teaming up with the great work of Dave Brock, Chair of our Cuyahoga County Democratic Party. The focus is on 500,000 known, registered voters in our County who do not tend to vote. Dave has crafted a plan, with support from DOHCS, to contact the 100-200,000 of them most likely to vote.
DOHCS will be canvassing in a targeted neighborhood where many of them live, and doing a person-to-person texting campaign with them, from May-November. Adding 100-200k new votes could secure wins in all the elections we care about: White House, Senate, OH Supreme Court! - Flip the Ohio Supreme Court The actions of state Supreme Courts have taught us that they can ban all IVF procedures (AL), force states to live by draconian laws from 1864 (AZ), and turn states into places where women dying of complications of common miscarriages are denied or delayed in care, where children impregnated by rape are chased out of the state to get care, and where doctors are threatened with jail for providing care (TX, FL, even here). Three candidates are running for 3 seats on the Ohio Supreme Court. We know that their opponents cannot wait to nullify the amendment secured last year that enshrines reproductive freedoms. We know these three will run to honor, not overturn our Constitution. Ohio will be a very different place depending on whether Justices Michael Donnelly and Melody Stewart and Judge Lisa Forbes win, or not.
To that end DOHCS has teamed up with the combined campaign, we will all be front and center in making sure Ohio knows this election is actually the third election for Issue 1 . This time to make sure the amendment that secures our ability to provide care remains in force. - Re-Elect Joe Biden. Joe can win Ohio, but only if reproductive freedoms are clearly driving the vote, and your voice, our voice as DOHCS will be crucial in making this happen.
We all know what is at stake in this race, returning a good man, and a great President to power. Or opening the doors to a Tyrant who will use his power to punish all enemies. - Re-Elect our friend Sherrod Brown. Sherrod is in the fight of his career, and the landscape makes clear that only 7 races for the Senate are even close, all 7 are with Democratic incumbents. The good news is that 4 of these lean Democratic, the bad news is that 3 are toss ups, and Sherrod is one of these 3. We will almost certainly hand the Senate over to the MAGA movement if even one of the 7 is not elected. And so, Sherrod’s race is one of the three most targeted by MAGA. Sherrod is a friend of DOHCS and a champion of Democracy and the Dignity of Work. He has made reproductive freedoms a centerpiece of his campaign. DOHCS plans to be there at his side, in our white coats, letting Ohio know the urgency of re-electing him. It oculd make the difference.

Talk with friends, family, neighbors.And with patients, you can remain non-partisan but still check to encourage voter registration.
